Getting here from Camden
It is about a twenty-minute walk south from Camden Town, straight down Camden High Street and Hampstead Road, with Stanhope Street on your right as you approach Euston. If you would rather not walk it, take the Northern line one stop to Mornington Crescent and you are twelve minutes away on foot. Plenty of buses run the same route down Hampstead Road.
Dinner before a gig
The Roundhouse, KOKO, the Electric Ballroom and the Jazz Café are all within reach, and eating properly before a show beats queuing for something forgettable outside the venue. Give us your doors time when you book and we will pace the meal around it — starters and a tandoor platter to share works well when you are on a clock.
After a day at the market
Camden Market is a lot of walking and a lot of noise, and by the time you are done most people want to sit down somewhere with proper table service. We are far enough south to be quieter than the high street but close enough to reach on foot, with a full bar and a menu built for sharing across a table rather than eating standing up.
What to order
Come hungry and order for the table. The tandoor platters cover a lot of ground between them, the biryanis are substantial enough to split, and the vegetarian and vegan sections are proper cooking rather than a token pair of dishes. Start with a cocktail from the bar while you decide.
